The researchers looked at chips from Broadcom, Silicon Labs, and Cypress, which are used in billions of electronic devices.
All flaws are responsibly reported to chip vendors, and some of them release security updates whenever possible.
However, many of them have not resolved security issues either because the affected products no longer support them or because it is nearly impossible to patch the firmware.
